Major theories of ethics, either de-ontology or utilitarianism

You will write a research paper, worth 150 points, over one of the major theories of ethics, either de-ontology or utilitarianism, and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses. The paper must be a minimum of 4 pages, not including Works Cited.  Use MLA style citations and a reference list. You must reference 4 citations – this includes the Shaw/Berry text and also 3 outside reliable sources. Professional writing with correct spelling, punctuation, and also grammar is expected. Your writing must develop your chosen topic and provide solid examples from readings, research, or your own experiences for support.

A minimum of 4 pages in length. The rough publish should include an introduction, body, and a conclusion. There should be a minimum of four sources in citation to include the Shaw/Berry text and three outside sources.

Just an addition to the 4 pages that I am going to attach that was already written. I need additional information added to each topic so that once i add these 4 pages that I’m requesting to my final paper, it will equal 8 pages in total.

Deontological Ethics

First published Wed Nov 21, 2007; substantive revision Fri Oct 30, 2020

The word deontology derives from the Greek words for duty (deon) and science (or study) of (logos). In contemporary moral philosophy, deontology is one of those kinds of normative theories regarding which choices are morally requirement. In other words, deontology falls within the domain of moral theories that guide and also assess our choices of what we ought to do (deontic theories), in contrast to those that guide and assess what kind of person we are and should be (aretaic [virtue] theories). And within the domain of moral theories that assess our choices, deontologists—those who subscribe to deontological theories of morality—stand in opposition to consequentialists.
