Unauthorized usages

(a) Can the NFL prevent a women’s professional football league from identifying itself as the “National Women’s Football League” and calling its championship game the SupHer Bowl?

(b) Consider whether any of the following unauthorized usages violates the USOC’s rights in the Olympic marks:

(i) An Iowa farmer prunes his cornfield into the shape of the interlocking Olympic rings during the summer before the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Does the question of violation depend on whether he charges a fee to enter his cornfield and view the Olympic rings?

(ii) A group holds the “Redneck Olympics,” featuring the cigarette flip, bobbing for pigs’ feet, mud pit belly flop, toilet seat throwing, big hair contest, and seed spitting.
